Yum Yum It's Cupcake Time.....

These are some nommy cupcakes I made for Children In Need. They are chocolate with a butter cream icing that I coloured yellow. Then add the sprinkles and voila!
Instant charity nomminess!

Grave Encounters

So, yesterday I watched a film called "Grave Encounters". Think Blair Witch meets Most Haunted and you're pretty much there. Lance Preston and his Grave Encounters team set off to spend the night in an asylum for the sixth episode of their show. Thinking it will be boring and uneventful, the team hunker down for the night as they are locked in by the caretaker, who will unlock the door at 6am the following morning.
The film keeps quite a slow pace for the first 30-45 minutes with only a few shocks here and there (a wheelchair moving of its own accord for one). However, as the clock on the teams cameras show it is 5:45am and nothing terrifying as happened, we as an audience can tell that business is about to pick up.
With one of their team missing while recovering the cameras they had placed all over the asylum, the rest go on a mission to find him and a way out and yes, you guessed it, they get more than they bargained for.
As horror movies go "Grave Encounters" is not that bad. It keeps the shocks minimal for the first half, leading to more and more, so, that as an audience, we are somewhat freaked out by the end. In no way will this be deemed a classic that defined a generation like The Exorcist, A Nightmare on Elm Street and even The Blair Witch Project. Nor does it add anything new to the documentary shot style of film-making. But it does have one of the best deaths in blood since a young Johnny Depp in A Nightmare on Elm Street.
